Residency Opportunity: Songwriter in Residence and Producer in Residence
Deadline: October 17, 2025
Deadline: October 17, 2025
The Dawson City Music Festival (DCMF) is excited to launch the application process for their 2026 winter residencies, which has been running for 20 years.
As the program enters its third decade, they are expanding it to include a second residency: the Producer in Residence. This residency is designed for music producers and recording engineers, broadly defined.
Both artists will have shared, unrestricted access to DCMF’s Goldensides Studio for the duration of the program. Goldensides is a purpose-built, professional 24-channel digital recording studio.
Participants are invited to spend the entire month of January in Dawson City, living in a Gold Rush-era house that includes two artist studios. The program is a rare opportunity to discover the magic of a Northern winter and to immerse yourself into the singular culture of the community.
In addition to housing and studio space, DCMF provides return travel for the selected artists (within Canada), a subsistence allowance, and access to additional resources available through our community partners.
Deadline to apply: October 17, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. (MT)
Notification of selection will happen by November 1, 2025
