Call for Submissions: Canada House at The Great Escape 2024
CIMA will be returning to The Great Escape in Brighton, UK in May 2024! We will once again be hosting Canada House showcases on site and providing business opportunities for participating Canadian companies.
The Great Escape is the festival for new music, showcasing 500 emerging artists from all over the world in 30+ walkable venues across the city. Music industry professionals from across the globe descend on The Great Escape to discover new music and attend the conference run alongside the showcasing component which features panels, keynote speeches, networking opportunities and more. We're currently looking for bands/artists who want to showcase at Canada House in 2024. Now's your chance - get those applications in!
Please note that this opportunity is open to partner hosts as well.

Details:
There is no fee to submit a Canada House showcasing application.
If you are accepted the presenter of the showcase will be charged (ie. A provincial host partner of CIMA's).
Please note that each artist must have a business representative. Artists can act as their own representative if they are comfortable taking part in the business events.
Companies interested in participating in just the business portion of this mission (no showcasing artist) will be invoiced once this application is complete.
Final selection of the Canada House showcasing artists will be made by The Great Escape.
Fees: Please note that Canada House showcases are co-presented by the provincial music associations, partners and funders. These showcasing costs will be incurred by the presenting partner.
How to Apply:
1. Fill out CIMA's Canada House application form here.
2. Complete The Great Escape's artist application form here. Note that the deadline is February 2024 but artists are encouraged to apply as early as possible, and by early November at the latest, if they are interested in a Canada House slot. This allows for adequate time for marketing, promotion and to obtain funding.
3. Contact your local provincial music association to discuss your export plan for the UK market (ex. Alberta Music, Manitoba Music, Music BC, MusicOntario, Music New Brunswick, Music Nova Scotia, Music PEI, Music Yukon, SaskMusic, SODEC etc)
Please note that you must complete both The Great Escape's application form and CIMA's Canada House form in order to be considered for a play at Canada House during The Great Escape.
