Combining roots, a lot of minor chords, and vintage orchestral rock influences, the debut album from Young Benjamins features 11 original tracks. It showcases their indie-folk and subtle math-rock sounds with just enough pop sensibility thrown in to broaden the appeal, because really...who can resist a little dose of pop? The songs are held together by songwriter and lead vocalist Neusha Mofazzali’s distinctive vocals; Veronique Poulin (violin, glockenspiel, keys and vocals); Bryn Krysa (bass) and Kuba Smigielsky (percussion).
