Produced in Montreal, singer-songwriter Shaun Mason recruited Sask. ex-pats for the 8-track outing; Jordan Perry on drums and Tessa Kautzman on bass and BGs. Mason draws inspiration as much from the work of '60s' and '70s' singer-songwriters such as Nick Drake as he does from the 1990s' British shoegaze bands like Slowdive, seamlessly blending these influences into what perhaps can only be described as 'space-folk'. The full band works to heighten the transcendent, blissful qualities and dynamic subtleties of the music, while maintaining the hushed, melodic, hypnotic center that has become Mason's trademark.Produced by: Jace Lasek.
