Mood Bedroom Meter

THE PEANUT BUTTER GENOCIDE

2012

Last summer, the woods of Madge Lake echoed with the sound of analog synths, drum machines and sitars as this album was recorded in a cramped guest cabin, drawing sounds and inspiration from the boreal forest. With a strange blend of '60s psychedelic and vintage electronica, it offers "a mind-bending journey in the vein of experimental rock." Driven by Andy Goodson, a multi-instrumentalist songwriter, a prominent characteristic of his recordings are the replacement of live drum kits with distorted samples taken from Super Nintendo cartridges and old VHS tapes. His first full-length, it's packed with musical experiments.

Produced by: Andy Goodson. Recorded at: Madge Lake SK. More info: peanutbuttergenocide.com
