“Written over the course of 2010 all over Saskatchewan, ‘Try Being Yourself’ came together to reflect what Natalie went through that year. The songs are mostly soft rock, learning more towards pop, with folksy lyrics. Simple, yet melodic, the songs get you moving and get the message across easily and honestly. Recorded in 2011 with a full band in the studio, the album came together with emotions pulling in every direction, from the happy ‘May’ to the driving ‘Get Out of My Way’ to the complete outright ‘Honest’ and first single ‘How It Is,’ there is a song for each feeling.”Produced by: Efren Pereira Jr. and Elias Edlund.
