Newly formed group out of the prairies, HarveyDent, just released their new 5 song self titled EP today. Members Ev Thompson and Kurlz have been featuring on eachother's albums and live performances for years, and this is their first official release under their group moniker, HarveyDent. The group's concept behind releasing their first project as a self-titled EP, was to treat this as an introduction as a group, with a collection of songs laced with hype hooks and ill verses. They enlisted beat production from producers Beatbusta, Filthy Plux and Young Swisher. Each song is filled with a mix of lyrical bravado, technical rap skills and clever punchlines. The project brings a golden era rap vibe in a style that works in todays rap culture. The MC's seamlessly pass the mic back and forth throughout the project as if they've done it a million times. They recorded the entire project themselves and Ev Thompson arranged, mixed and mastered the entire project. It has also spawn 2 videos to date produced by Strike Films for singles 'Feel It' and 'The Anthem', with 2 more videos and a remix EP to follow in the coming weeks. The project is available now on all streaming platforms and digital retailers.
