Dark Unconscious is the bluesy, hard rock project created by Saskatoon’s Jeff Derksen. Joining Jeff for this debut recording are Jair Mckinnon (vocals) and Graham Templeman (drums). Jeff wrote the music and lyrics on the album but Jair and Graham definitely put their stamps on the overall sound. From the rhythmic, hard-riffing songs like “Fool’s Lullaby” and “Dig ‘em Up,” to melodic ballads like “Set Me Free,” and the punk rhythms of “I Meant To Say,” there is a wide variety of rock sounds on this album to enjoy.
