Saskatoon’s Minor Matter started as Jeffrey Popiel’s experimental solo project and has grown to include five multi-instrumentalists that help bring his carefully crafted originals to life. Stephanie Unverricht, Heather Lake, Skyler Cafferata, Jon Henderson and Jeffrey work to seamlessly fuse classical, folk, country, jazz and psychedelic rock. Their debut full-length is 10 tracks that draw on a well-stocked musical toolbox including everything from the bassoon and clarinet to glockenspiel and ukulele; creating wonderful music rich in texture and tone often described as “orchestral folk”.
