This long distance recording project (originally based in Los Angeles and Saskatchewan) of duo Gage McGuire and Chris Dimas has had a busy touring schedule, but that didn’t stop them from recording their fourth EP in July 2016. The Summer Vacation EP was birthed out of boredom. In between tours, the gents realized a full year had passed since releasing any music. With Chris off the road for 3 days and in true Surf Dads fashion, they decided that was enough time to make a record. Described as “Weezer on speed,” Surf Dads play fast and loud, often leaving the stage bruised and bleeding with broken guitars to match. Recorded at: home studio, Regina. Produced by: Chris Dimas.
