Hello, Lady’s first official release has been a year in the making, focusing on the idea of genre clashing between four songwriters - Lea Arngrimson, Dieter Desmet, Kyle Westberg and Kolby Kostyniuk. The Regina quartet, originally a solo project of Arngrimson’s, has since evolved and creates a sound that travels from a dark algorithmic rock to a light indie folk sound. Influences range from ‘90s alternative rock to punk, modern day indie/folk and the blues. Their unique sound which “moves from limpid rock to dark and allegorical pop and back again”.
