McKruski

Snake River

May 2014

Snake River began as a home for Christopher Sleightholm (The Lonesome Weekends) to release his homespun psychedelic-leaning recordings. Following 2012’s “Songs No One’ll Hear”, he recorded this second album himself in various Regina bedrooms, basements and apartments between 2012-2013. It brings more reverb and fuzzed-out guitar, alongside dense songs that draw inspiration from the fictional town of Snake River Mountain and its inhabitants, culminating with the 11-minute epic “Mr. McKruski Addresses the Crowd,” wherein the author loses his mind at a town hall meeting. Produced by: Chris Sleightholm. Recorded at: Home studios and SoulSound Studios, Regina SK. More info: snakeriver.bandcamp.com Released: May 6, 2014
