The new album from Saskatoon’s Joel Grundahl Trio is an instrumental fusion of jazz mixed with modern music themes. Small Grey was recorded over the past year with guitars by Joel Grundahl, bass by Lloyd Tomczak, and drums by Ben Christa. Joel edited, mixed and mastered the project. Four of the songs were composed by Joel and the other two songs are covers by Mike Miller, a former guitar instructor of Joel’s at G.I.T. Los Angeles. The vision for the album was to create music without borders, maintain a trio feel, and be able to reproduce the material live. Produced by: Joel Grundahl.
