Sending Heart Shaped Snowflakes for Christmas

Doug Sylvester

December 2018

North Battleford songwriter Doug Sylvester assembled a number of his Christmas originals for a unique holiday album. The concept was simple: gather a host of top-level talent to sing the seasonal tunes and donate the proceeds from songwriter royalties earned to various charities.  Many great local artists immediately agreed to pitch in, from Canadian Idol finalist Tyler Lewis to celebrated singer/songwriter Jay Semko (Northern Pikes) to SCMA Rising Star Justin LaBrash, and even nine-year-old Sadie Gryba. The resulting album captures not only the rocking fun and joy of the holiday season, but also examines some of the more difficult emotions that surface. Recorded at: various SK studios. Produced by: Jesse Weiman, Nolita Studios, Saskatoon. Released:
