XANA’s tempestuous, introspective brand of electro-pop has been likened to that of contemporary female alt-pop artists such as Halsey, Dua Lipa, and Ellie Goulding. Having participated in the Sask-Canadian Songwriting Challenge two years in a row, as well as being a first place winner in the Deja Vu Cafe Songwriter Showcase, XANA drives her songwriting through honest lyricism and emotive storytelling. This five-track EP leans towards the darker side of the electro-pop genre with songs such as “Poison” and “Haunt Me” representing the push/pull of passionate, sometimes detrimental, relationships.
