The father-son duo of Isaac and Terry Friesen join forces on this bluegrass and country album. Terry’s previous projects explore faith & family through his songwriting and instrumentation. Isaac’s fiddle and mandolin expertise have been included on Terry’s past albums, but this new release puts his virtuosity in the spotlight. Terry’s raspy vocals, which would not sound out of place on an ‘80s hard rock record, complement the acoustic songs and lend themselves to an old blues sound. Some songs are pure instrumental, with the fiddle as melodic line. This collection highlights the best in Terry’s songwriting & guitar, while Ike’s fiddle and mandolin expertise shine.Recorded at: home studio, Saskatchewan.
