Xandrah (aka Alexandra Thomson) is an Indigenous pop/jazz/soul singer-songwriter based in Saskatoon. On her debut EP, written with instrumentalist Justin Frank Pelan, her sultry, jazz-tinged vocals of love and lust are combined with electro-synth undertones, cinematic instrumentals and smooth hip-hop beats, with influence from artists such as Sade, Erykah Badu, Solange, Lana Del Rey, and Lauryn Hill. The EP also features fellow hip-hop artist Cody Coyote and Saskatoon spoken word poet Illustrated. Recorded at: Jesse Weiman Recordings, Saskatoon. Produced by: Xandrah and JFP.
