Saskatoon’s psychedelic band’s self-titled album takes the listener into a relaxing and floating space that is sure to lead to repeat spins. Formerly known as Powder Blue, the band doesn’t focus on just one genre throughout the LP, but rather experiments with multiple styles and techniques. They seamlessly combine alternative rock, grunge, shoegaze, and psychedelic rock to create complex and diverse compositions. Their music is carefully textured into multiple layers that expand immensely creating a delightful atmosphere saturated in the sound and instruments of the band. Shelby Gaudet’s voice propels through the soundscape adding an extra dimension to the band’s at times dreamy and at times intense, sound. Recorded at: Ghetto Box Studios, Saskatoon.
