Balfour has been a mainstay in the Saskatchewan reggae scene, beginning his career as a percussionist followed by 8 years as lead vocalist with 9-piece band Natural Mistik. Since 2009, Jim has performed at many venues in Negril, Jamaica earning nicknames such as ‘Pincanmon’; ‘WhiteBob’; ‘JimBob’, or simply ‘Bob Marley’. In 2014 and 2015 Jim went into a studio in Jamaica with musicians he had been jamming with and laid the foundation for this 6-song EP. A set of fun, island-vibe songs including two originals, a great rhythmic cover of Gino Vannelli’s “I Just Wanna Stop,” and Marley’s “Jamming.“ Produced by: Jim Balfour.
