Nomadic is audio engineer, record producer, rapper, singer/songwriter Garlimah’s’ debut, derived from influences such as Fela Kuti, Marvin Gaye, R. Kelly, 50 Cent, Mario Barett, T.I. Noah “40” Shebib, and Ryan Leslie. Taking a little from each influence has allowed James to tell his own stories in a unique way that stems from old school R’n’B influences, soul, and traces of rap/hip-hop. The lead/title single, “Nomadic,” tells a story of not being destined to be in one place. “Your luck is under your feet.
