Produced entirely by beatsmith Atrium, Birds and the Worm brings a transitional sound with an innovative style to the platform of Canadian rap. Front to back, the album consists of 13 songs with features from JUNO Award-winning artist Josh Martinez, Portland production behemoth Sapient, and fellow prairie-based artist Parab Poet. With production that ranges from a more mellow mood setting on tracks like “Let Me Show You” and “Only Wings” all the way to double-time lyrics layered over hard hitting keys on “Shades” and “Drones”, the album embodies the varying phases through it transitioned during the recording process.
