Leslie Stanwyck (vocals) and Johnny Sinclair (bass) made two albums with pop-rock legends The Pursuit of Happiness and another seven with Universal Honey before relocating to Sask. and adding a little twang to things in their new band, joined here by Wayne Pearson (drums), Brent Carlin (guitar) and guest Justin Bloudoff. There’s a rootsy spin on the upbeat country-pop of “Same Place;” “Wishing You Were Here,” and “Sentimental Fool,” with some edgier material on Stones-style rockers “Think You Know (Someone Like Me)” and “What It’s About?.” Banjo, fiddle and pedal steel are featured on 9 of the 13 songs. Produced by: Tucker Lane. Recorded at: Pulsworks Recording Studio, Saskatoon. More info: www.tuckerlane.ca
