Meal Ticket is a collection of heartfelt lyrics from Saskatoon’s Cquel, over the jazzy boom bap sounds of JUNO-nominated producer Relic (Shad, Ghetto Concept). Cquel showcases his talents as a storyteller on songs like Unscripted, his singing ability on the album’s final track Make it Over, and throughout the project displays the lyrical skill and smooth flow that he has perfected over years of rapping. A great listen whether you like hardcore rap, mainstream pop, folk sounds, or funk and jazz.
