Constructed from little more than two voices and a pair of entwined acoustic guitars, Jen & John consists of five originals, and covers by J.J. Cale and Ryan Adams. It’s steeped in the folk and country traditions of the ‘60s and ‘70s, both with vocal harmonies and Emmylou Harris-style call and response styles of singing. Antoniuk’s songs, like the ghostly End of the World, are heavily influenced by folk. Lane’s contributions, exemplified by the majestic Lost, are more reminiscent of early country music.
