The Community Arts Mentorship Program is excited to announce its Trauma-Informed and Cultural-Sensitivity Training (T.A.C.T.), happening May 28th & 29th at the Women's Business Hub (733C 1st Ave N) in Saskatoon from 9 am - 4:30 pm.
T.A.C.T. supports individuals and organizations in fostering trauma-informed and culturally-sensitive community engagement, with a focus on Diverse Communities peoples. The purchase pricing will be offered at $200, but if finances are an issue we do offer bursaries made possible by SaskCulture.
This 12-hour course, created by Community Arts Mentorship Program Co-Founders Eliza Doyle (Musician, Settler) and Holly Yuzicapi (Knowledge Keeper, Standing Buffalo Dakota Nation), and covers key topics including:
● Cultural Protocol, Sensitivity and Protocol
● Trauma-Informed Delivery, Vicarious Trauma, Legalities of Abuse and Suicide Disclosures ● Reconciliation and Arts, Blanket Exercise
● Treaties, Systemic Racism, White Privilege..and more!
