This month is all about collaboration - co-writing and connecting with your fellow songwriters. We’ll kick things off with introductions similar to a real co-writing session, sharing things like your favourite songwriters, the styles you gravitate toward, and what you think makes a great song. Once we’ve gotten to know each other, we’ll walk through some co-writing fundamentals before breaking into small groups for a short, low-pressure co-writing session.
The goal is to get a hands-on introduction to co-writing, experience the creative energy of writing together, and collaboratively write a chorus in a supportive, relaxed environment.
Please note: There won’t be a typical song share component at this event.
REGINA SONGWRITERS GROUP
The Regina Songwriters Group exists to develop the craft of songwriting and provide a peer network of songwriters, lyricists, composers and beatmakers. Meetings are generally held once a month with additional songwriting exercises, resources and information shared on socials.
