Introduction to Songwriting

  • October 8, 2020 - Showtime: 7:00pm

This FREE 2-hour webinar is being presented as part of Culture Days

Have you always wanted to write a song? This workshop will be geared to those who are interested in songwriting fundamentals, and/or those in the early stages of their songwriting habit.

Using examples, we'll dissect the parts of a song and what their purpose is; look at different song forms; discuss what makes a strong lyric; give common chord progressions that you can start from; and where to begin with your song ideas.

Have a notepad handy. Suggested age range 14 years and up. You can opt to turn your web camera on or not during the webinar; you can also just ask questions via the chat function during the presentation.
