Southern-Rock influenced country may seem contradictory in the Great White North, but that's where Devin Cooper hangs his wide-brimmed hat. Cooper kicked off 2023 with the release of his latest single, "The Other Guy," which propelled him to become the most-nominated solo artist at the Country Music Alberta Awards. Garnering seven nominations, including "Album of The Year" and "Fans Choice," Cooper's undeniable talent earned him the title of "Horizon Male Artist of The Year." His unique musical style encompasses thoughtful songwriting and gritty rock 'n roll vocals, creating a signature sound that captivates audiences.

Before his debut album release in spring 2022, Cooper already had five successful singles under his belt. Notably, "Good Things," the lead single from the record, took the spotlight in March 2021 as the #1 most played song on CBC Sirius XM Country during its release week. Following the album's release, Cooper's talents secured him a spot as a Semi-Finalist in Sirius XM's Top of The Country program. It was during this program that he recorded "Underdog," an anthemic track celebrating resilience and determination. Blending country and rock 'n roll elements with down-home banjo and 1980s drum tones, Cooper's music offers a taste of his unique style. Unapologetically, he embraces country music on his own terms.

Known for her quick wit, warmth, and for unapologetically stealing your Grandma’s clothes, Calgary, Canada-based Americana artist Mariya Stokes turns life’s messiest moments into songs that feel like late-night confessions with an old friend. Blending country storytelling with pop, R&B, and funk grooves, Stokes released her debut album Mood Ring (May 2025) with a sold-out release show at Studio Bell at Calgary’s National Music Centre, kicking off a national tour that spanned coast to coast. Produced by JUNO Award-winners Justin Kudding and Spencer Cheyne, alongside longtime collaborator Lucas Gienow, the record has earned over 900,000 streams to date. With anthemic choruses, gritty storytelling, and snappy basslines, Mood Ring traces the edges of a sound that refuses to fit neatly in a box. But neither does Stokes.

From the laid-back swagger of ‘Break My Heart’ to the R&B pulse of ‘Hands on My Body,’ the album builds on previous singles like “Rebound” (named Next Big Thing on the Casey Clarke Country Countdown) and “Christmas, Arizona” (Top 100 BDS Canadian Holiday Chart). In 2024, Stokes earned national recognition as a semi-finalist in SiriusXM’s Top of the Country, in partnership with the Canadian Country Music Association: an achievement that marked her as one of Canada’s most exciting new voices.
