RMC Recital Competition Winner: Graeme Scott, flute

Born in Saskatoon, flutist Graeme Scott has performed across Québec and Saskatchewan. A recent graduate of McGill University, he obtained a Master of Music degree with full scholarship in 2025, studying with Albert Brouwer, associate principal flutist of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra. He currently pursues private study with Jocelyne Roy in Montreal. Graeme began studying the flute in Regina at the age of fifteen with Tara Semple, and later took lessons with Marie-Noelle Berthelet.

In addition to solo freelancing and teaching, Graeme has performed with groups including the McGill Symphony Orchestra, Hawkesbury Chamber Orchestra, Per Sonatori, Sinfonia de l’Ouest, and the South Saskatchewan Youth Orchestra, and alongside artists including soprano Kelly Guerra, and members of the Ensemble Paramaribo, Ensemble contemporain de Montréal, and the Akropolis Reed Quintet.
