Evan Baxter: Born and raised in the tiny rural community of Demaine SK, Evan's journey into the world of music began during the challenging times of the pandemic. Inspired by his older brother who took up the guitar during the lockdown, Evan quickly found his own passion for music. He began by immersing himself in the soulful storytelling of Chris Stapleton and the raw energy of 90’s rock icons such as Stone Temple Pilots and Alice in Chains and began releasing music and performing. Evan’s story is a common thread that most everyone in the prairies can relate to, and his songwriting tells it in an exciting new way with a strong dose of nostalgia and familiarity.
Kara Golemba's most recent release, a full-length album entitled "Keep These Stories Safe" has a self-confidence woven through its themes and tones. She uses her craft to distill her life experiences in ways that awaken the listener to their own vulnerabilities. With production sensibilities reminiscent of Susan Tedeschi or Brandi Carlile, Golemba holds her listeners with both a powerfully dynamic voice and a hooky guitar. The Proudly Saskatchewan Showcase winner received a nomination from The Saskatchewan Music Awards 2022 for Roots Artist of the Year and "Keep These Stories Safe" was declared one of the Top 10 albums at the Saskatchewan Music Awards in 2023.
