Kara Golemba's most recent release, a full-length album entitled "Keep These Stories Safe," has a self-confidence woven through its themes and tones. She uses her craft to distill her life experiences in ways that awaken the listener to their own vulnerabilities. With production sensibilities reminiscent of Susan Tedeschi or Brandi Carlisle, Golemba holds her listeners with both a powerfully dynamic voice and a hooky guitar. The Proudly Saskatchewan Showcase winner received a nomination from the Saskatchewan Music Awards 2022 for Roots Artist of the Year, and "Keep These Stories Safe" was declared one of the Top 10 Albums of the Year at the Saskatchewan Music Awards 2023.
SoulTribe is a very soulful and R&B-styled group influenced by artists such as D’Angelo, Amy Winehouse, Chaka Khan, etc. A new band celebrating their one year anniversary, but with several successful shows already under their belt. The band is in the process of preparing their original songs for release, with mixing and mastering underway. You can say 'you heard them first here!'
A combination of the unruly and the refined, Cupid’s Heart uses cello, electric guitar, drums, and low female vocals for a grungy take on alt-rock that fits them like a baggy sweater. Sonically described as “Chrissie Hynde Pretenders vibes with a pinch of Nirvana,” Cupid’s Heart expresses some of the complexities that go along with love and life, and does so from a queer perspective. The trio, composed of Emma Jean, Stacey Dunn, and Zachary Kerr, is based in Prince Albert. Cupid’s Heart released their debut EP, Atrium, July 2023 while still a duo and were nominated for Contemporary Indigenous Artist of the Year at the Sask Music Awards that same year. They have seen airplay on multiple community and college radio stations across Canada, as well as nationally on CBC. They have embarked on several tours across Canada. Steadily gaining attention for their captivating and energizing performances and positive attitude, this act leaves audiences talking long after the music fades. Their newest single, Get Up (& Dance), came out on Valentine's Day.
NiniJegz is a singer/songwriter from Regina. Originally from Nigeria, she blends Afrobeat, Afropop, Afro soul, R&B, alternative and acoustic genres into music. She hopes to bring people close, invoking good emotions in all and bringing them together. She wants her music to help create a memory. Part of her team includes Erik Mehlsen, Ethan Reoch, David Nazari, Rukky Efrieta and Josh Daly. NiniJegz is nominated for Afrobeats Artist of the Year at the 2025 Saskatchewan Music Awards.
