Originally formed as a duo between Sauvelm McClean (keyboards/vocals) and Graham Templeman (drums), FunkJoint has a collective approach to musical writing and performance. Since 2018 the band has garnered hometown recognition for its unique brand of acid-jazz and tight funk jams that exude the spirit of improvisation. FunkJoint also features the talents of like-minded musicians Adam Striesel (trumpet), Nathan ‘Barracuda’ Jones (saxophone), and Steve Maier (guitar).
