Jill Mack was a beloved Saskatchewan musician, recording artist, producer and one of only three female audio technicians in Saskatchewan. She volunteered time and skills to her community, shared her expertise at Girls Rock Camps and gave hands-on workshops in Saskatoon. On March 22, 2022, Jill passed away after a short but brave battle with cancer. To honour her memory and all the good work she did, Saskatoon's music community and supporters are establishing a new scholarship that will be administered through the Saskatoon Community Foundation. It will be called the Jill Mack Recording Arts Scholarship and will provide money annually to a female or non-binary individual seeking professional audio training in Canada. We are starting our fundraising with a live music event at Amigos on April 22, 2023 that will feature a dynamic line-up of all-female bands, including the Garrys, All Girl Chill, The Electrolites and Aurora Wolfe.
