JAECY BELLS - July 28
Jaecy Bells is a singer-songwriter using jazz-inspired keyboard and soulful vocals to create layered compositions full of story. Born and raised in small-town Saskatchewan, Jaecy takes the old and makes it new. Drawing inspiration from classic poets and women of jazz all the way to Billy Joel and Amy Winehouse, she weaves elegant lyrics and fills them out with jazzy piano and a voice full of soul. As a multi-instrumentalist using live looping, her eclectic influences blend together seamlessly in a performance you won’t soon forget.
ARTIE BALKWILL - Aug 19
Artie Balkwill is an acoustic roots and blues artist who bridges traditional and indie influences. Born and raised in southern Saskatchewan, with his younger years spent living in a farming community of only 250 people, he was 21 before he ever picked up a guitar. Artie recently released a live 5-song demo EP rich with stories of home and abroad, as his songwriting is largely inspired by the things that drive us to travel away from home, and the things that keep us coming back.
