M.K. Denninger is a Regina-based pianist and composer working in contemporary classical and instrumental music.
Drawing on the tradition of short-form piano works, M.K. Denninger's compositions are built around the piano but occasionally incorporate synthesizers, marimbas, and other custom-crafted sounds. The approach is minimal and intentional — every element earns its place.
His debut single is "Impromptu in F", April 30th 2026. He is also a composer and songwriter with work in development for film and theatre.

Regina, Saskatchewan — M.K. Denninger, a Regina artist, is releasing his solo piano debut "Impromptu in F" April 30th, 2026 on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music.
The piece began the way its title suggests — without a plan. He stood at his keyboard, played where his fingers landed, and a melody and rhythm appeared. He followed it. The result is a solo piano composition that moves through wonder and beauty — mixed to sound exactly the way he heard it in his head.
"Impromptu in F" is his first commercially distributed release since making music since the late 1990s. It is the debut single from his upcoming album "Opus 1", scheduled for release on October 31, 2026.
The track is available to pre-add now and will be available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, and all major streaming platforms April 30th.
