Description
JJ Taylor is a prairie raised country/rock band from Saskatoon Saskatchewan that is still in its early chapters. It was formed by Jordan Engstrom, the lead vocalist and Caidan Channing, the lead guitarist. Jordan and Caidan met at songwriting and recording course during high school. They fell in love and launched this dream together. They write about a forever changing time in both of their lives, from the awkward first loves of high school to the terrifying step of leaving home and starting their journey together. Caidan came from a Rock and Heavy Metal background, while Jordan came from a Country, Pop and Classical music background. Together they have found a sound that combines the different genres and is incredibly versatile.
Later, Ryan Frehlich, our phenomenal bassist and our drummer, Carter Caisse, the man who holds us all together, joined and completed the band. JJ Taylor quickly gained traction and has played at distinguished venues in and around Saskatoon. As well as popular festivals including Ness Creek Music Festival.
JJ Taylor is primed to make a significant impact on Saskatchewan’s music industry with their versatile sound and relatable stories.
