This Story is a longstanding Regina-based band known for their heartfelt storytelling, intricate melodies and dynamic live performances.
Their music wanders curiously through landscapes of life, love, hardship, hope, and longing. After reflection and time away from writing and performing, these life-long friends have returned with focus, motivation, and the goal of captivating listeners both familiar and new. Their latest efforts continue to pay homage to the sonic influences that helped mold their sound, all while rejoicing the undying support received from their cherished friends and family over the years.
In their newest chapter, This Story continues to evolve and innovate through added textures, instrumentation, and accompaniment.

This Story releases long awaited EP, "Tiny Papers" on Feb 27, 2026

After a lengthy musical hiatus, filled with careers and family, This Story is back and ready to rock with their new four song EP entitled “Tiny Papers”. Founding members Kristin, Riley and Jim have returned to the band with renewed focus, motivation and creativity. Having added long time friend and drummer Mark to the mix, their new music has an energy and excitement that cannot be missed.
One thing about this album that remains constant, and that fans have come to expect, is the skillfully crafted harmonies of complimenting male and female vocal lines. The sound of the EP is refreshingly unique, masterfully weaving acoustic and electric guitars with other playful musical textures.
The experience of writing and recording this album over a longer period of time was both difficult and rewarding. Being back in the recording studio after so many years reignited and reaffirmed their love of the creative musical process. This Story is excited to share these deeply meaningful and emotional songs about love, grief and feeling stuck.
The title track “Tiny Papers” is a reflection on time gone too fast, reminding us to slow down and tell those we love how important they truly are, as other song lyrics remind us to be kind to our hearts.
This Story hopes others will relate to the life experiences and emotions they so thoughtfully and genuinely relay through their new musical offerings, and they hope to be back in the recording studio again soon.
