Description
Formed in 2024 The Nortown Butchers are a rock band based in Regina Saskatchewan. Influences from blues, rock, metal, country and folk with a splash of real-life observational lyrics all create the unique sound of The Nortown Butchers.
Fellow guitarists and songwriters Jason Liggett and Nate Anderson began jamming together after many music conversations at work. One thing led to another and the idea to get a full band was the next logical step. Enter Andy Dinsmore and Jon “Buck” Varjassy. Andy's hard hitting drumming sets the mood and Bucks steady melodic bass, fills out their distinctive sound.
Drawing influence from bands like AC/DC, Pearl Jam, SRV, Motorhead, Sabbath, Big Sugar, and of course The Hip shaped the bands sound.
