Mary Liv is an emerging artist, performing old time and original music as well as teaching traditional fiddle, banjo, and guitar styles. Her performances have a balance of classic tunes and songs as well as originals that share funny stories and true, heartfelt stories from her life. Be ready to laugh and maybe cry while you listen to her sing you a truthful story or rip a fast fiddle tune! She’s sure to get you dancing or tapping your toes!

Mary Liv loves singing and playing any instrument around! She has taught music to all ages through her private studio as well as Northern programs such as CAMP SK Arts and Fiddles North.  Through her years of experience, she has learned how to teach to different ages, levels, and learning styles. Liv has a strong focus on the value of community and music and how they fit together. She has played in many bluegrass, country, and old time bands. Mary Liv has fiddled for artists such as Jake Vaadeland, Justin LaBrash, and The Local Group. Liv has played such venues as The Bassment (Saskatoon), E A Rawlinson (PA), and Northern Lights Bluegrass Festival (SK). • Mary Liv Little Jack Farms

Mary Liv & Joel Rohs playing between the trees in the warmth of the summertime sunshine. Months later in the midst of winter, the same spot where they once stood is buried under snow drifts 8 feet high. Soon, months from now, in the warmth of the sunshine, these drifts will melt and the water within will flow down to the garden and make the beets grow big and strong, some will be given to Mary Liv for the fine songs she sang this day, months ago, at little jack farms. Audio by Bryn Besse.
