Description
My name is Jesse Weiman, and I'm a Saskatoon, Saskatchewan-based Music Producer, Songwriter, and Artist. My journey in music began at a young age in Saskatoon, where I started playing in local bands by the age of 15. That early passion led me to open my first recording studio, Kickstart Recordings, when I was just 20 years old. Over nearly two decades, I've had the privilege of working with a wide range of artists across genres like alternative rock, pop, country, and folk.
I've been fortunate enough to collaborate with SCMA award-nominated artists such as Codie Prevost and Amanda Hagel, producing records like Codie’s ‘RADIO’ and Amanda’s ‘Listen With Your Heart.’ My work has also led me to produce and collaborate with other talented artists like Andrea An, Darryl Anderson, Adam Johnston, and The North Sound. In 2017, I took a step forward in my own artistry by releasing my debut solo LP, "Helen of Troy."
In 2018, I co-founded Nolita Studios with my partner, Andrea An. Nolita Studios, based in Saskatoon, is more than just a recording studio—it’s a space for artist development, education, and collaboration. Our studio has been recognized by the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards, earning nominations, including Recording Studio of the Year. We’re committed to nurturing emerging talent and helping artists achieve their creative vision.
My work is deeply inspired by production giants like Joey Moi, Mutt Lang, and Chris Baseford, but I also draw inspiration from my peers who balance creativity with the business side of music. I’m actively involved in Saskatoon’s live music scene, often stepping in as a session player while continuing to push my own creative boundaries. With my second full-length record set for release in 2024, I'm excited to keep growing as both a producer and an artist.
On March 8, 2024, I released a new single and music video titled "Painkiller," further expanding my musical journey. Every project I take on, whether it’s producing for another artist or creating my own music, is a step toward refining my craft and delivering high-quality music production across Saskatchewan and beyond.
