2022 & 2023 SCMA Indigenous Artist of The Year, Teagan Littlechief is a proud Cree Woman. Since taking on her biggest "adventure" as she refers to her sobriety her musical career has taken off in ways she use to only dream about. Earlier in 2023 she was awarded the last Queen Elizabeth Jubilee Medal of Honour recognizing "the significant contributions and achievements by Saskatchewan citizens". Singing the National Anthem at the 109th Grey Cup in Cree, English and French put Teagan in the national spotlight. Littlechief appeared in newspapers as far away from her small hometown of Carlyle as one can imagine. Papers such as The Toronto Star to the East and Saanich News to the West. Now signed to Black Mountain Music & Media, Teagan is hopeful her current momentum can help move her forward towards the National stages.
