Adam Johnson burst onto the Country music scene in 2021 when his debut single, “Come On Let’s Go,” became the second most downloaded song on Canadian Country Radio. It went on to see radio play across Canada and reached #1 on the Canadian Indie Country Countdown. Since this time, Adam’s career has continued to grow. First, his song “Last Call At The Bar” reached #89 on Canadian Country Radio and spent several weeks in the top ten among Saskatchewan artists. Next, his Song “Craven” saw more radio play and received attention from the Regina Leader-Post, Country Thunder Music Festival, and Storme Warren. The final song of his debut EP, “Back Again,” became his highest charting song to date, reaching #73 on the Trax Report and top 150 on the BDS Charts. It also reached # 1 on the Canadian Indie Country Countdown.
Adam grew his roots in rock and roll, listening to artists like The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan, before finding a love for Country music in his teenage years. He began his musical journey as early as ten years old, writing songs on his guitar. When Adam found his passion for Country, it was from listening to “Deirks Bently” and “Kenny Chesney.” Later he found interest in artists like “Waylon Jennings,” and “Hardy.” Adam wears his influences on his sleeve, creating a fun, energetic party country with a rock edge and modern sensibility. He is constantly trying to refine his songwriting and find inspiration from all genres of music.
He began performing country music in 2020 during the pandemic, and that is when he began his music Career. Adam got his start performing acoustic shows as restrictions slowly lifted. He has since gone on to perform shows in multiple provinces, both acoustic and with full bands and has many more exciting shows to announce for 2023. In 2022, Adam showcased during the CCMA’s in Calgary, performing with some of Canada’s top emerging Country artists. He has also opened for multi-CCMA award-winning artist Nice Horse and performed for a sold-out 1500-person crowd during the Annual U of S Agro’s Ag Bag Drag Event.
As Adam continues to grow, he strives to become the best artist he can be. With nearly 50 000 digital streams, Adam is primed to release his next single. He is now working with Multi Juno Award-winning producer Bart McKay who has worked with artists such as Brett Kissel and Gord Bamford. This spring Adam plans to release his next single this spring and intends to promote it with a busy slate of shows.Back
