The cicada represents an emergence from hiding; shaking off restrictions and shedding old skin, so you can stretch in the way you express yourself. It is about identifying your true voice, your “sacred song’’.

“Get it Off Your Chest” is about making room for the best things in life - by expressing the things that weigh us down; especially on the dance floor.
I see so many people caged inside themselves, fearful or unable to express themselves freely and fully. Sometimes we just need a reminder, or someone to give us permission to let go and let our spirits flow.
The song features West African drums from my friend Joseph Ashong, world beat percussion, sweet 808 basslines and layers of rhythmic, seductive vocal textures.
This is my first major artist release under this moniker. It is part of a 6 track project rolling out between now and January!
