Saskatoon Hard Rock/alternative act Truth and Agony used the time during the pandemic wisely to create a high energy show as well as write and record and release their first album “Rage Of Day” which has spawned two singles “Lead The Way” and “Without You”. Formed in 2019 by vocalist/guitarist Lucien Broste in Saskatoon, Truth and Agony consists of Broste, vocalist/guitarist Blaine Dancy, Bassist Heitor Morgado and drummer Adam Yeo. Not wanting to be a cover band, T&A set out to write music that resonates with people and some of their songs touch upon social issues and injustices happening in society today. Broste is very passionate about some of these issues and is very involved with harm reduction organizations in Saskatoon.
Known for endless and tireless rehearsing and perfecting, T&A is rapidly building a dedicated following and hopes to play live as soon as COVID restrictions allow. Constantly writing exciting new music, T&A will be heading into the studio this fall to record the follow up to their debut “Starlight Tours”. T&A is proudly from Saskatchewan and proud of their blue collar, accepting and welcoming character. Always willing to network and always willing to help out other bands, T&A is well known for their positive attitudes and being easy to work with. Broste is one of those music fans who owns a T-shirt from any local band he comes across. We hope to continue to keep the spirit of music flowing, good times coming and be able to reach as many people as possible with music we wrote from the heart. Truth and Agony vocalist/guitarist Lucien Broste wrote, arranged and recorded “Rage Of Day” by himself (with help from friends) before he decided to form a band. This album was very sentimental to Broste as he had recently gotten clean after a lifelong battle with substance abuse and the lyrics reflect his struggles, pain and hope. “Lead the way” which features The Whiskey jerks Anna Bekolay on violin and “Without you” are the 2 singles from the album. Recorded and mixed by Matt Stinn at Rainy day studios in Saskatoon from January to March 2021, Broste poured his heart and soul into the making of “Rage Of Day”. Broste formed the band as he was finishing mixing the album. T&A are absolutely thrilled to release “Rage Of Day”!
