The Authentically You Vocal Studio is ran and operated by Alyssa Woolhether. Alyssa teaches a variety of genres including classical, musical theatre, pop and folk. She is currently accepting new students and offers beginner and intermediate voice lessons for students at any age and/or skill level. Alyssa also teaches singer/songwriters who are interested looking to find a deeper awareness and/or understanding of their instrument while still maintaining their signature sound.

Through the use of practical vocal techniques centred around strengthening the three fundamental pillars of vocal technique, (breath management, balance, resonance) the student will learn to sing with ease, comfort, and control. Ultimately leading to a singing voice which is authentically all their own. 

About Alyssa:

Soprano, Alyssa Woolhether, is a passionate and versatile musician. She holds a Masters Degree in Music Performance and Literature from Western University (2019) and a Bachelors Degree in Music Performance from the University of Regina (2010). She has attended training programs such as Opera NUOVA, Long Reach Opera Workshop, Accademia Europea Dell’Opera and SongStudio. Along with extensive experience as a recitalist, Alyssa has performed with various opera companies including Vera Causa Opera, MYOpera, Opera by Request, and Toronto City Opera. Although primarily singing in the classical genre, Alyssa has experience performing musical theatre and folk/pop as a singer/songwriter. In 2015 she released her first album, Home, a collection of folk/pop songs which she wrote, performed and co-produced. Currently, Alyssa leads an active career as a performer and vocal teacher while continuing to song-write. Alyssa is a member of The National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS).
