Description
Ryan is a record producer and mix engineer that resides in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He has been involved with many projects over the years including Nickelback's The Long Road and All The Right Reasons, Thornley's Come Again, Theory of a Deadman's debut album, and many other acts both indie and label backed. He apprenticed under producers like Don Gilmore (Linkin Park), Rick Parashar (Nickelback), Gggarth Richardson (Rage Against The Machine), and under mix engineers like Randy Staub, and Mike Plotnikoff. He has worked with many musicians of all genre and calibre, including Chad Kroeger, Ian Thornley, and Matt Cameron. In recent years he has focused more on artist development, and the mixing side of music production.
Ryan has a mixing room and small production facility in Saskatoon called RedDoor Recording, and is also the head audio instructor at The Recording Arts Institute of Saskatoon (RAIS). There he teaches the basics of audio engineering, from signal flow and electronics, to digital editing, music production, mixing for film, and mastering.
