Forged in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Chainfire has never shied away from the truths most people run from. Since their debut Details (2007), the band has carved a reputation for tackling the darkest, most uncomfortable realities — abuse, addiction, abandonment, betrayal — and turning them into music that confronts rather than comforts.
Over nearly two decades, Chainfire has grown into more than a band — it’s a mirror. From the brutal honesty of Righteous Victim to the venomous prophecy of Push, and into the ongoing Trauma Bonding series (Avoidant, Tears of Passion, and more to come), Chainfire has proven one thing: truth always comes with a cost.
With crushing riffs, guttural yet melodic vocals, and rhythms that hit like a tidal wave, Chainfire’s sound is both punishing and magnetic — a confrontation you can’t turn away from. Their shows across the Prairies and beyond have left audiences shaken, while their recordings serve as artifacts of survival, reflection, remorse, and acceptance.
