Description

AUNTIE KD (she/they/he) is a queer, Indigenous (Cree) aspiring producer, composer, songwriter and drag musician—born and raised in Treaty Four Territory with lineages from Cowessess First Nation (Mother), and Peguis First Nation (Father).

Their music style is a blend of Indie/Alternative Rock/Pop, Electronic, Funk and R&B, with audio experimentations of traditional Indigenous language and music creation. They intend to amplify BIPOC & 2SLGBTQ+ musicians/artists, expand representation and explore modern Indigeneity. The drag persona ‘AUNTIE KD’ pays homage to familial/community duties, celebrating fluidity within societal roles imposed by Western worldviews. Through the use of storytelling in songwriting, composition, production, and drag musicianry (singing & playing instrument in drag), AUNTIE KD aims to highlight Indigenous resiliency, and impacts of colonization on the current climate crisis in their works. Their debut single Didn’t Ask released October 31, 2025 with their 2nd single Hell on Earth released April 22, 2026.

Hell on Earth is a self-reflective, rebellious anthem for these dark and often confusing times we are currently living in. This alternative indie rock track, is a reflection on collective grief and the apparent state of chaos felt worldwide. This song is an invitation for listeners to persevere and use joy as a motivating tool for positive change in the face of adversity and fear.
