Everyone has untapped creative and leadership genius—but the weight of daily stress, from work to family to global uncertainty, can block our access to it. In this one-hour masterclass, award-winning singer/songwriter and founder of Imagiin Lab, Domanique Grant, partners with SaskMusic to present Creative Visioning—a transformative wellness and professional development experience.

Creative Visioning is a signature session that combines visualization, sound design, and nervous system regulation techniques to help participants move beyond mental blocks, fear, and perceived limitations, and access their career breakthrough.

Through inspiring, immersive and centring experience, attendees won’t just imagine success, they’ll mentally step into the rooms, boardrooms, and stages that define career breakthroughs. This session rewires limiting beliefs and activates a deeper sense of clarity and confidence. It also helps to unblock creativity, ideas and a sense of purpose.

Developed by Domanique Grant and used by CEOs, elite athletes, and award-winning artists, The Imagiin Lab, has been praised on international stages in Germany, the UK and Canada. Drawing from her own journey, Domanique shares how, in the absence of accessible mental health resources, she became her own scientist—reprogramming fear, anxiety, and limiting beliefs linked to being neurodivergent. This session reinforces a transformative idea: we don’t have to overcome our challenges to move forward—we can move forward with them.

Whether you’re a creative, administrator, CEO, entrepreneur, or emerging leader, this session delivers accessible tools to elevate both your inner and outer performance.

Participants will explore:

  • Creative visioning and mental priming techniques for daily creative flow and peak performance
  • Mind mapping to clarify your vision, goals, and next career steps
  • Breaking out of toxic productivity culture and designing your "24 hours" with strategies that work for you
  • Reframing neurodiversity, cultural, and gender-based differences as drivers of innovation
  • Somatic tools to reset and regulate your nervous system throughout the workday

SaskMusic seeking expressions of interest for Black Advisory Committee

SaskMusic is currently seeking interested individuals to participate on our new Black Music Advisory Committee (BMAC), dedicated to uplifting and empowering the Black/African music community in Saskatchewan.

The committee will play a crucial role in guiding, advising, and supporting SaskMusic as we continue to better understand and meet the needs of Black (or those of African descent) artists, creators, and professionals in the province’s music industry.

Specifically, the committee will be consulted on various strategies, initiatives, and programs that ensure meaningful inclusion, representation, and support for Black musicians and artists in Saskatchewan, in an advisory capacity.

If you are motivated to contribute your voice and help direct our organization toward a more equitable future, please visit the form to learn more or to apply!

Artist Tip #4: Promote Your Shows!

You can debate us on this — but artists should also be promoting their shows (not just the venue/presenter).

Let people know where they can hear you, and encourage them to support venues and festivals that present live music!

Presenters take note when you put no effort into promoting shows they've booked you for.

Don't forget to share these tips widely with all the musicians you know! Help spread the word with #saskmusictips!

Rock 102 Launches “Hometown Rock Long Weekend”

Airing Aug. 1 to 4 Rock 102 is set to make Saskatchewan Day history with the launch of the Hometown Rock Long Weekend, showcasing an extraordinary lineup of Saskatchewan’s own rock bands.

For four days, Rock 102 will feature hundreds of songs from local artists, highlighting a mix of legendary Saskatchewan bands like The Sheepdogs, Streetheart, The Northern Pikes, Queen City Kids, One Bad Son, The Dead South, Wide Mouth Mason, and more, along with dozens of local emerging artists from across the province.

"This is something no other station in Canada is doing. We’re putting Saskatchewan musicians front and center on a massive scale,” says Joel Kleer, host of Hometown Rock on Rock 102.

“We’re not just playing the music, we’re telling the stories behind it: where these bands are from, where they went to school, where they got their start and all their wild stories along the way. It’s a celebration of Saskatchewan rock at every level.”

In addition to featuring Saskatchewan artists every hour throughout the weekend, Joel will also host a special three-hour Saturday night show from 6 to 9 p.m., playing 100% Saskatchewan rock.

“For three straight hours, it’ll be wall-to-wall homegrown talent, legends, local heroes, and brand-new discoveries, all from Saskatchewan,” said Kleer.
