Work Together promo

Work Together: Artist Photoshoots

Member Exclusive
In Regina: Sunday Dec. 15
In Saskatoon: Sunday Jan 5
Apply at: https://saskmusic.wufoo.com/forms/q1wrm35t1vdqdxa/

Deadline to apply 11pm Monday Dec 9/24

For our next Work Together we'll be providing 12 artists/bands with free, professionally shot promotional photos. Having current band/artist photos is important for festival applications, grant applications, venue outreach for bookings, media opportunities, promoting your shows, and for your EPK in general. This Work Together will provide a dedicated time, space, and professional photographer for artists to come away with new photos to use in the upcoming year. We are happy to have Chris Graham, owner/photographer of Chris Graham Photo helping us out, with tons of experience in music event photography and more. This is a great opportunity for folks who need their first band photos taken or artists who need a refresh and update.

We have space for six artists/bands in each city. Artists/bands in Northern Saskatchewan or Saskatoon and area may apply for the Saskatoon photoshoot, and artists/bands from Southern Saskatchewan or Regina and area may apply for the Regina photoshoot. Please note, we will not be providing travel bursaries for participants.

Artists will be selected by draw. Those applying must be available between 4-8pm on the date they are applying for.  A more precise time to show up will be provided if you are selected. You must be a current Youth, Individual, Band or Corporate SaskMusic member to apply for this opportunity. (Your current status is noted in the footer of this email.) We anticipate receiving more submissions than spots available.

About Chris Graham Photo (www.chrisgrahamphoto.com) Born and raised in Estevan, and schooled in the Photojournalism program at SAIT in Calgary, Chris Graham has become one of Regina's most in-demand photographers for his keen visual artistry and attention to detail. A self-professed music nerd, he has been a proponent of the Saskatchewan music scene and has worked with countless local artists to help realize their vision since he put down roots in Regina in 2006. Chris is also well known for his live music festival photography, not just in the province, but around the world, and his work has been seen in world-class publications, including Rolling Stone Magazine.

Deadline: December 15, 2024

Did you make a JUNO Awards nomination submission this year? SaskMusic is accepting applications from artists and music industry professionals currently residing in SK to have the cost of their CARAS voting membership plus 50% of the costs of up to two category nomination submissions for the 2025 JUNO Awards reimbursed, to a total eligible maximum reimbursement of $185 plus taxes per applicant. A CARAS annual membership is $85 plus tax. All bursary requests must be accompanied by the receipt/proof of submission provided by CARAS. Record companies/labels/managers submitting for Saskatchewan-based artists they represent may also apply to this fund. Please note: Bursaries are not available for the cost of a CARAS membership only - you must be submitting a nomination to be eligible.
